ARTIST
KASEY MORAN

Art and biology
Kasey Moran is an artist and a biology student who lives in Vancouver, BC. She studied fine arts at Okanagan University College in Kelowna, BC and she is currently studying biology at UBC in Vancouver.
She draws and paints as a way of summarizing visual information that she has gleaned as an observer of nature, but as her mentor Thomas Braithwaite taught her, "one should never ruin a good story with the truth", so she embellishes when she thinks it's called for.
Kasey has shown her work at the Tumbleweed Gallery in Penticton BC and Ecklectica and Bird on a Wire galleries in Vancouver BC. Her paintings have also appeared in charity art auctions such as Goat Money in Vancouver and the Penticton Art Gallery's annual fundraiser. Her illustrations can be found in Langara College's botany and general biology lab manuals.
